President Kagame met Lord Popat, UK Prime Minister’s Trade envoy

This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame met with Lord Popat, UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy & John Humphrey; UK Trade Commissioner for Africa, who are in Kigali for the ongoing Rwanda-UK Business Forum. The Business Forum brings together UK and Rwandan business leaders, investors, government officials and financial experts to explore opportunities for business partnerships in Rwanda’s growing economy.

The UK-Rwanda Business Forum is taking place from 29 – 31 January 2024 at the Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) & Radisson Blu Hotel in Kigali, and will showcase investment opportunities in Rwanda’s rapidly growing economy.  The Business Forum will bring together UK and Rwandan business leaders, investors and senior government officials to discuss business opportunities available and the business climate in Rwanda.

The theme is ‘Succeeding in Rwanda: Unlocking Growth & Opportunities’ and the programme includes opportunities for networking and to hear from industry leaders, visits to investor sites and discovering the best of Kigali.  There is no cost to attend the UK-Rwanda Business Forum.

Over 100 UK investors are attending this UK-Rwanda business forum, and are expected to meet local investors and discuss business opportunities, as well as leaders from different sectors.
