President Kagame Welcomes New Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The new Prime Minister, Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva, expressed his gratitude to the Head of State for the trust placed in him. In his address to the attendees and all Rwandans, he stated, “I want first to express my deepest gratitude to the President of the Republic of Rwanda for the trust he has placed in me. I assure you that I am well aware of the gravity of these responsibilities you have given me and their role in improving the welfare of our citizens and the development of our country.

Two members of the new government were not present to take their oaths: Juvenal Marizamunda, Minister of Defense, and Consolée Uwimana, Minister of Gender and Family Promotion. They were on official duty outside Rwanda and will be sworn in at a later date.
