In expanding it’s international relations, Rwanda is going to open an embassy in Brazil, which will be it’s first in Latin America.
This was mentioned by Dr Vincent Biruta, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation, in this year’s Rwanda Day in Washington DC.
Since the recent Rwanda Day in 2019 which took place in Bonn, Germany 8 new diplomatic missions were opened, making it 47 missions world wide.
Over the years, in effort to strengthen it’s international cooperation, Rwanda has 45 diplomatic missions in the country.
“In recent years, Rwanda has opened embassies in different countries including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Guinee Conakry, Hungary, Central African Republic, and Czech Republic. “, Dr Biruta said.
In effort to strengthen relations and easy movement of people, Brazil has adopted a visa on arrival policy to all Rwandans traveling to Brazil.
